Thank you to those of you who were able to join us for our city manager, Jenny Harayumara’s enlightening conversation on the state of our city. She gave us a lot to think about- from the $1 billion the airport brings Eugene each year to the $8 million shortfall that we are going to have to deal with in our city finances. She pointed out the budgeting principles in the city being:
-financial stability
-community safety
-thriving, liveable community
-housing and homelessness
-transportation infrastructure
She shared that there is no proposal for a data center, but there are conversations that are being had about general policy around data centers. To add your voice email, call, or write your councilors. They are listening.
