 SOUTHWEST HILLS NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION (SHiNA) information:

 Saturday, December 5, 1:00-3:00 pm at True Value Hardware Store, 2825 Willamette Street: SHiNA CALENDAR SALE, featuring photos of the local area.  Calendars are $10.00 each.  All proceeds benefit the SHiNA to help fund events and other outreach.  For more information or to order your copies, please contact Kathy Bosteder at kmcgee36@comcast.net

 Thursday, December 10, 6:00-8:00 pm: BOARD MEETING.  Due to plumbing problems at the usual meeting place, this meeting will be held at the Good Samaritan Society, 3500 Hilyard Street.

Board Meetings are held on every 2nd Thursday of the month.

Please note: there will be NO GENERAL MEETING IN DECEMBER.

General Meetings are usually held on every 3rd Sunday of the month, 2:00-4:00pm, at the Wayne Morse Family Farm, 595 Crest Drive.

The next General Meeting will be on Sunday, January 17, 2016.  Topics will include information about our LOCAL TREES, identification, concerns, care, etc., presented by Scott Altenhoff of the City’s Urban Forestry Office.

Through Friday, January 15: The City of Eugene is offering an opportunity for those who are interested in the potential redevelopment of BROADWAY PLAZA.  The City has issued a Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) for the redevelopment of the property located at the center of downtown at the south-east corner of Broadway and Willamette streets. Meetings Schedule

SHiNA’s Board Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month, 6:00-8:00pm at the Wayne Morse Family Farm, 595 Crest Drive. The next board meeting is scheduled for December 10, 2015.

SHiNA’s General Meetings are held on the third Sunday of each month, 2:00-4:00pm at the Wayne Morse Family Farm, 595 Crest Drive. THERE WILL BE NO DECEMBER GENERAL MEETING. The next General Meeting is scheduled for January 17, 2016.

EGAN WARMING CENTERS are open to individuals during these cold nights. Locations include the Resurrection Episcopal Church (3925 Hilyard Street), Central Presbyterian Church (555 East 15th Avenue), St. Mary’s Episcopal Church (1300 Pearl Street), and Valley Covenant Church (3636 West 18th Avenue). A Youth Site (18 years old or younger) is located at Olive Street between 13th and 14th Avenues. Lane Community College’s Building 19 is available to enrolled students. First Christian Church (1166 Oak Street) is available for elderly and medically fragile people. Volunteers are needed, please apply at eganwarmingcenter.com if you are interested.
